At Impact Hub Stockholm, we believe that the world’s greatest challenges can never be solved by one person or organization alone. We need to work together. That’s why we set out to create a thriving innovation ecosystem where people collaborate across organizations, cultures and generations to solve the grand challenges of our time.
We pioneer a just and sustainable world where business and profit are used in service of people and planet. Our mission is to enable entrepreneurial action for positive impact. Through our core values of Trust, Courage and Collaboration; we engage in collective action with the vision of achieving a better world.
Impact Hub is a catalyst to foster social innovation. We are a global community, consultancy and a creative space. We work at the intersection of innovation and society to create impact with an entrepreneurial mindset. Over 6,400 startups were founded at Impact Hubs between 2012 and 2016 and our collective impact has reached 40.8 million people.
Diversity is key for social innovation. But it’s not enough. It takes collaboration and community, and a space that fosters the right kind of environment. That’s what we provide at Impact Hub. Together we can create businesses with far-reaching positive social impact to make our world a better place, not just for us today, but for the future generations of tomorrow.
Embedded in human centred design, we foster collaboration, unlock creativity and create innovative solutions:
- Inspire: challenging the status quo is possible – we do it every day.
- Connect: accessing a professional ecosystem of changemakers and curating interaction across silos.
- Enable: we disrupt mindsets, share expertise and the necessary tools to create a better future for all.
User-Centered. Human centred design is about innovating through the eyes of the end user by building empathy and gaining deep insights.
Experimental. An agile startup approach gives the people permission to fail and to learn from their mistakes, because it encourages an iterative development process.
Collaborative. Having several great minds on your team are always stronger than one when solving a challenge. Our community benefits greatly from our diverse and interdisciplinary team.
De-Risking. Using an iterative approach minimizes the risks of development by testing both their relevance and long-term feasibility prior to committing substantial investment.
Well-Structured. Design thinking comes with a lot of useful tools. It draws inspiration from the creative processes, that are divided into different phases, sprints and tools.
Optimistic. Our theory of change is underpinned by the fundamental belief that we can all create change—no matter how big a problem, how little time, or how small a budget.
