We live in bewildering times of great upheaval, uncertainty – and promise. The more frustrated, confused, or passionate we are about our lives and our work in the world, the more vital it is to renew our spirits. This workshop / “mini-retreat” will offer a rare opportunity to:

enhance your sense of calling, direction, and confidence to navigate change
cultivate a deeper capacity to contribute and thrive with wholeness and authenticity
reconnect what you do with who you are
replenish inner reservoirs of courage and resilience so you can live, work, and lead wherever you are, for the common good.
Chris Johnson launched The Milkweed Group after a 30-year career in teaching, mentoring, speaking, writing, leading workshops, and facilitating retreats. He spent 13 years as the founding Director of the Center for Vocational Reflection, Director for Vocation and Integrative Learning, and Associate Director of the Center for Servant Leadership at Gustavus Adolphus College, in Saint Peter, Minnesota, where he also taught courses in ethics. Before that, he taught at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa, where he also served as Director of Service-Learning. Along the way, he earned his BA from Gustavus, a Master of Arts from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a PhD (in “theology, ethics, and culture”) from the University of Iowa. He is a Circles of Trust® facilitator in association with Parker J. Palmer and the Center for Courage and Renewal. Along with his wife, Kim, he co-founded the Prairie Oaks Institute, a nonprofit education, retreat, and sustainable-living center dedicated to nourishing expansive imagination, bold thinking, wise action, and cross-sector solutions to the unprecedented environmental and social challenges of our time.
