At 59degrees’ pioneering farm we harvest and cultivate aerobic, indigenous microbes and grow the colonies in our incubation hub. Once the product is mature, we feed up these fungal communities to our various growing systems to monitor the benefit they have on the plant.
Our goal is to design and build growing systems that require minimum amounts of maintenance in the form of weeding, labor and water, whilst maximising solar capture and thus productivity in various contexts. This goal is achieved through the huge biodiversity we cultivate through our unique incubation hub and through clever design of growing systems which allow these microbes to flourish.
Our microbes work with landscape architects, small garden owners, large land owners, farmers, market gardeners, orchard owners and everyone in between.
