Health at Impact Hub Stockholm
7 November 2013 - Impact Hub

Feeling healthy and happy in your workplace is important to all of us. At Impact Hub Stockholm, our health host Sanna Norén has taken the initiative to make our members more aware of how they work and what they can do to improve their health.

Impact HubFor Sanna, guarding your health is the most important thing you have to do as an entrepreneur. “Most of us here at Impact Hub work alone or in small teams. They literally embody their company, which means their energy is the biggest and most important resource they have at their disposal. This is why it is essential to take good care of yourself.”
Sanna has realised through her own experience as a social entrepreneur, that taking care of yourself does not only make you more productive and creative, but also provides good energy around you. “This energy is noticed by your clients and colleagues. When you feel good it is much easier to have a positive impact on your environment!”
At Impact Hub Stockholm there has always been attention for health and wellbeing. The ergonomic desks in the work space invite member to vary the way they sit or stand while working. Other initiatives have included yoga classes and massage. At this point, with Sanna as the health host, she is coordinating our health efforts and invites all the members to participate in or use the following:

  • Every wednesday there is a walking/running club. Members meet with Sanna at 12 pm to go out to the wonderful green space on Djurgården and excercise up to 45 minutes. Everyone can choose whether they would prefer to walk or run. This is definitely not a fitness contest, but just a way to get to know each other better in an informal setting.
  • Members can get a discount at two fitness centres in the neighbourhood. Nordic Wellness offers members a week free trial, which is followed by a 20% discount if you sign up for membership afterwards. At World Class members of Impact Hub Stockholm receive 25% discount*.
  • During November Sanna will also organise several information moments where she tells about health in combination with desk jobs. Taking a mini-break every 30 minutes is essential for your body and the benefits have been proven with research results that she will share with us.

Sanna has one last health tip for our members. “Experiment with a walking meeting, instead of booking a room for your next meeting. While walking, conversations flow in a different way and your body is energized by the fresh air. This is a great way to jazz up your work day and a ensure a productive meeting!”
*Ask the host of the day for the free trial ticket and do not hesitate to talk to Sanna about health at work.
