Mark Hiemenz has more than 25 years of experience in the philanthropic, corporate and nonprofit sectors, serving at organizations including the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, Ameriprise Financial and HandsOn Twin Cities. He has been a nonprofit executive director, corporate community relations director and a community foundation philanthropic advisor. A longtime champion of diversity and equity, he served on the Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation’s Racial Equity Leadership Team and has engaged many organizations in managing unconscious bias. He has served on numerous boards of directors, including Minnesota Alliance With Youth, Minnesota Council on Foundations and the Corporate Volunteerism Council. At Wiser Paths, his consulting practice, Mark focuses on building organizational culture and capacity. He believes that the core strength of an organization lies with motivated staff and board working together smoothly in alignment with a mission-driven strategy.
