Addressing the impact of COVID-19
15 April 2020 - Jesper Kjellerås

While we work from the safety of our homes, our generation is facing an unprecedented challenge. No doubt you’ve been following the news, and you have seen how far the impact of COVID-19 has reached in the last few weeks. While some sectors are facing more difficulties than others, local communities and the private sector are showing leadership in this time of crisis through solidarity for those who are affected.

Looking to China to understand the economic impact of the outbreak, we can see that a new normal is taking shape as companies begin their operations again. When the curve flattens, our next challenge will be to restore both lives and livelihoods. Despite the harsh realities that we face at Impact Hub Stockholm, we have chosen to engage with the current challenge head-on by offering our support to those who are working on tackling the social impact of COVID-19.

I want to take this time to highlight some of the amazing people in our network who are contributing their resources for the common good. If you have the opportunity, you can help by lifting them up and sharing their efforts with your colleagues and friends. And if there’s anything that you need, please reach out to us to let us know. We may be separated by distance, but we are all in this together, and it will take all of us to overcome the challenges that we face.
