White Label

Design for ImpactThe White Label programme invites multidisciplinary teams of students to design a solution for a societal challenge. The selected team follows a three month long Human Centred Design process. Impact Hub provides the challenge, professional mentoring and offers the opportunity to participate in workshops hosted by our social entrepreneurs.

This programme is designed and managed by Impact Hub members Geert van den Boogaard and Kathleen Asjes. Boosting the young entrepreneurial spirit in FarstaIn 2014 we are extending our presence in Farsta with the second edition of “Vi är Farsta”.

The purpose of this second social innovation project is to actively connect people with each other in Farsta, based on their ideas and skills. The working title of this project is Starta Farsta and we focus on inspiring young people to follow their dreams and providing them with the tools, knowledge and connections that will help them become more entrepreneurial.

By extending everyones social and professional network in the suburb, people will be enabled to take action and have a positive impact on the community.

You can read more about this project in our Impact Stories section and on the project website Vi är Farsta.

Internship/thesis opportunity! If you are a student and would like to be part of this social innovation project, please do not hesitate to contact us and apply for an internship/thesis opportunity taking place this spring (mid-march to mid-June). We are selecting six students to work with us and the selection is still ongoing. We take in students as we go, so send in your application as soon as possible! Social cohesion through design in Farsta.

The first project of programme took place in Farsta (South Stockholm). This is where the White label team of 2013 worked on the development of an innovative solution to enhance social cohesion.  Improving social connections in neighbourhoods with a low sense of community will lead to a nicer environment for people to live, a stronger sense of safety and more opportunities for new entrepreneurs to start a successful business.

You can read more about the Farsta project on the White Label teams website, or see the final product here.
